As truck technology rapidly evolves – particularly in the fields of electrification, diagnostics and connected vehicles – dealer capability is becoming as important as the vehicles themselves. FUSO has strengthened its support for distributors across Africa and the Middle East with the launch of a dedicated regional training centre in Dubai, aimed at improving technical expertise, service quality and vehicle uptime throughout the network.
FUSO Academy Dubai opens its doors
The new FUSO Academy Dubai regional training centre has been established by Mitsubishi Fuso Truck and Bus Corporation (MFTBC) and officially commenced operations on 1 July 2026. The facility will support capability development across the company’s distributor and dealer network throughout the Middle East and Africa (MEA).
Operated by FUSO Commercial Vehicles Middle East & Africa FZE, MFTBC’s regional office responsible for truck and bus operations across the region, the academy serves as a hub for both technical and non-technical training.
The centre follows globally consistent training standards set by FUSO Academy, MFTBC’s global training headquarters, while tailoring programmes to the specific requirements of Middle Eastern and African markets.
Preparing the network for future technologies
Covering approximately 362 m², the facility includes two classrooms equipped for electric vehicle training, a dedicated sales and soft skills training room and an E-Lab focused on diagnostics and electrical systems training. The academy combines classroom instruction with practical, hands-on learning.
The launch follows MFTBC’s transition to a fully stand-alone regional operating model on 1 April 2026 after separating from Daimler Truck AG and becoming part of the newly formed ARCHION Group. The training centre forms part of the company’s strategy to strengthen regional capability development and support future business growth.
Training programmes will cater for technicians, service advisers, sales staff and management teams, helping improve service quality, operational efficiency and technical competence as advanced vehicle technologies – including zero-emission vehicles (ZEVs) – become more widely deployed across the region.
According to MFTBC, the academy is expected to contribute to faster vehicle diagnostics, higher repair quality, improved preventive maintenance and stronger support for advanced vehicle technologies, ultimately maximising vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction.
The company says the investment reinforces its commitment to building a capable, future-ready distributor network across the Middle East and Africa while supporting long-term business growth.
