If your company has been working hard on creating sustainable and environmentally friendly business practices or products, why not submit what you’ve been doing as an entry for the 2011 Annual Green Supply Chain Awards. There is no cost for entering but the closing date is 24 May, 2011 and the awards ceremony will take place on 18 August 2011.
The awards are a collaborative effort between the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport in South Africa (CILTSA), the Consumer Goods Council of South Africa (CGCSA) and Supply Chain Today magazine. The Diamond Sponsor of the awards is Scania South Africa; Silver Sponsor is Barloworld Logistics and the Trophy Sponsor is TrenStar. Given the strong move towards companies being green, these awards are designed to recognise excellence, rewarding companies which are making a genuine and sustained effort towards minimising the environmental impact of their supply chain processes.
So c’mon you trucking greenies. Give it a go! If you’re making the effort, you deserve the recognition. For more information on the awards criteria and categories, visit www.ciltsa.org.za.
