In 2016, as part of an employee incentive, Everstar Industries introduced the “Highflyer Award” for their top employees.
An Everstar Highflyer is defined as “someone who has the ability and a strong wish to be successful and is therefore expected to achieve a lot.” For Everstar Industries it is these staff members who take the initiative to consistently perform at a high standard.
Employees are nominated by their respective department heads and interviewed by the Everstar’s Senior Management team. Once the Senior Management team come to a final decision, the “Highflyer” Finalists are announced.
The 2016 and 2017 the Highflyer Finalists were handed their certificates and a badge of honour recently at the Powerstar Plant in Pietermaritzburg.
