Following an extensive tender and evaluation process, South African Breweries (SAB) has awarded a multi-million Rand contract to Altech Netstar to provide an integrated service solution to its large fleet of Secondary Distribution trucks and trailers. The solution includes a sophisticated shipment tracking system, a gate scanning solution and integration into SAB’s ERP platform.
Donavan Hendricks, Secondary Distribution Planning Manager at SAB, says an integrated shipment tracking solution is a key enabler of SAB’s high level of customer service delivery. “Our ability to track and manage all secondary distribution fleet real-time allows SAB to make immediate, informed decisions which can influence both the customer experience and our ability to maximise efficiency.”
